Dress Code Policy

Dress Code at Loge Elementary

In order to provide a safe and secure school, strengthen the educational focus, and establish an orderly learning environment, we ask parents/guardians to take the time to review the Warrick County School Corporation's student dress code with their children to ensure that students are dressed and groomed properly.

This information can be found in the student agenda book. The main violations of the dress code that have been problems in the past include, but are not limited to:

  • Hair styles that are extreme or have unnatural color (ex. mohawks, blue hair, pink hair, etc.)
  • Clothes displaying alcohol or suggestive writing, pictures, or images
  • Clothes that expose a student's undergarments by being excessively loose (sagging)
  • Clothes displaying vulgar or suggestive writing, double meanings, pictures, or images
  • No holes in pants that show skin.
  • Shorts/Skirts must extend past the longest finger when the arms are naturally at the side in grades 4 through 5.
  • Clothes that expose the midriff, back, or sides of a student
  • Clothes that do not properly cover a student's body
  • No flip flops or slides, sandals must have a heel strap.

Students who are found to be in violation of the dress code will be sent to the office to correct the problem, and they will not be allowed to attend classes until the dress code problem has been corrected. This can be done through a call home for appropriate clothing to be brought to school or for the administrator to issue clothes for students to wear to correct the problem.
